Long time Powerhouse Hockey students Peter Holland, Ryan Ellis and Jesse Blacker are all rated high by NHL Central Scouting. This years draft is being held in Montreal on June 26th and 27th at the Bell Centre. Coming off a huge Memorial Cup championship, Windsor Spitfires Ellis and Blacker are both highly skilled, right hand shot defenseman. Blacker has had an exceptional year with Windsor and the scouts have taken notice. Little needs to be said about Ryan Ellis that already hasn’t been said. He’s a powerplay specialist and lethal on the rush and in the offensive zone! Peter Holland from the Guelph Storm also had a great year in the OHL. He finished the year with 28 goals and 39 assists during the regular season while tallying 4 goals in 4 playoff games. NHL’s Central Scouting has Ryan Ellis ranked 16th, Peter Holland 19th and Jesse Blacker 47th. All these players have trained with Joe Simon and Powerhouse hockey since they were Atom AAA players chasing every hockey players’ dream. To one day play in the NHL! Good luck to all.
